I started developing this app when I attended upper secondary school since I didn't like the website the school hosted I did however like the content they hosted since it included real-time information about what classes were canceled. It started out simple and unstable but as I got better so did the app and now it is pretty stable and has great functionality, the best being push notifications for canceled classes. You can also check what food will be server in the cafeteria for a couple of weeks, all classes and teachers timetables are in there and so is information from the internal Google sites they use.

All in all a good addition if you attend the school, unfortunately I was only able to use it for about half a year before I graduated...

The system has some PHP scripts on a server which parses the HTML for all involved sites regularely and saves it in a MySQL database. The app then talks to some other scripts on the server which returns the requested data in JSON formatting.
